Toolbar Box One: Brushes

Brush Icons Brushes: Pencil, Watercolor, Airbrush, Pen, EPen and Mosaic.

To the right is the drop down menu of icons for each type of drawing implement or "Brush", as they're commonly called. Below, from left to right, are canvasses with various strokes from each brush, using the same color and a 10 pixel size, to illustrate:

Full opacity
Partial opacity
Textured strokes (Note: the Pen Tool doesn't do textures)
∙ Strokes using the pressure variation made available by the JTablet.

Pencil Watercolor Airbrush
Pencil Watercolor Airbrush
Pen E Pen Mosaic
Pen E Pen Mosaic

Simply click on the brush you want to use and start drawing. You may want to vary color, opacity and size. (These are all explained in this Toolbar section of the Tutorial.) Note: The Mosaic tool will not work on a white background. I have not found a use for the E Pen or the Mosaic tool - but you might. Experiment! You can see that the Pen tool is the most saturated and the watercolor tool the least. In most drawings I use a variety of brushes for different effects.
